Description
The City of Weirton, West Virginia is soliciting bids for the construction of the Weirton Senior Center Outdoor Gathering Space. The project involves removing existing sidewalks and retaining walls, grading, and placing 163 square yards of concrete sidewalk, along with other miscellaneous items of work. The contract will be substantially completed within 60 calendar days after commencement and fully completed by November 6, 2026. Liquidated damages are set at $1,000 per day. Bids will be received at the Weirton Senior Center until September 14th at 10:00 am local time, and a pre-bid conference is scheduled for August 27th at 10:00 am at the same location. The project is financed in part by a HUD Community Development Block Grant and is subject to Section 3 requirements, Davis-Bacon Act, and other federal and state regulations. Bidders must have a West Virginia Contractor's License and be registered with SAM.gov with an active UEI number.
