Description
The New York State Office of General Services Design and Construction Group is seeking qualified architectural and engineering firms for a five-year consulting contract. Services include investigations, materials testing, studies, reports, interim and final design documents, bidding assistance, and construction-phase support for roofing, waterproofing, leak repair, structural, and facade restoration work at the Cultural Education Center. The anticipated scope includes repairs to third-floor leaks; replacement of the fourth-floor terrace, eleventh-floor, penthouse, and South Museum Hall roofs; parapet waterproofing; rehabilitation of adjacent ventilation equipment; removal of the south connecting bridge over the bus loop; and restoration of walkway openings to match the building facades. The consultant may also provide hazardous-material investigation and remediation design, BIM services, code and permitting support, cost estimating, commissioning support, and minor fire protection, fire alarm, civil/site engineering, and related services. The maximum construction cost is $64 million. The procurement includes 15% MBE, 15% WBE, and 3% SDVOB participation goals, with required utilization plans and good-faith-effort documentation.
