Description
The City of Rensselaer is requesting proposals from qualified construction contractors to provide 24-hour emergency and on-call repair services for roadway failures, water mains, sanitary sewer mains, and storm drainage infrastructure. Services include furnishing labor, materials, equipment, excavation, piping repairs, roadway restoration, traffic control, utility locating, disposal of surplus excavated material, and related construction support. Contractors must respond within one hour of notification, maintain contractor-owned basic emergency equipment and qualified personnel, and work continuously until emergency repairs are complete. The contract is structured as a one-year master agreement, with a possible additional one-year extension by mutual agreement. Proposers must submit labor rates, contractor-owned equipment rates, company and licensing information, relevant experience for five comparable projects, at least three references, litigation and financial disclosures, and proof of required insurance. The solicitation requires three sealed proposal copies in 8.5-by-11-inch format and an original signature on the signature page. Work must comply with applicable New York State Department of Transportation specifications, prevailing-wage requirements, OSHA, and other applicable laws.
