Description
The City of Charleston, West Virginia, seeks a qualified contractor to fully raze and remove a condemned church building, including foundations, basements, impervious surfaces, utilities, and miscellaneous debris. The work includes asbestos abatement, handling and disposal of hazardous materials, temporary site fencing, lawful landfill disposal, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements, including Davis-Bacon prevailing wage provisions for the federally funded Community Development Block Grant project. Following demolition, the contractor must provide fill, leveling, compaction to 95 percent, compaction testing, erosion control, and seeding. The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, materials, permits, licenses, and incidentals, and complete the project within 45 calendar days after the notice to proceed. Required bonding, insurance, licensing, certified payroll, and federal labor standards apply.
