Description
Cromwell Fire District, Water Division is soliciting construction bids for an Emergency Interconnections Project connecting its water system to neighboring public water systems. The work includes two interconnection stations, subgrade concrete foundations, prefabricated station bodies, approximately 2,060 feet of ductile iron water main installed by open trench, approximately 170 feet of insulated ductile iron water main at a bridge crossing, structural appurtenances, water-main connections, gate valves, hydrants, backfill, and related installation work. The project also includes Connecticut Department of Transportation road restoration, surface restoration, loaming, seeding, and all necessary incidental work. Bids must be submitted electronically in PDF format, with the signed bid-form signature pages uploaded as a PDF. Bidders must hold a current Connecticut Department of Administrative Services prequalification certificate for the designated classification and submit the certificate and Update (Bid) Statement with the bid. A pre-bid submittal for the interconnection vaults is required by October 27, 2026.
