Description
Manatee County is soliciting construction bids for the Lift Station 9-A Force Main Extension project. The work includes extending approximately 1,250 linear feet of 12-inch wastewater force main from the existing connection near Whitfield Avenue and Persimmon Place to the LS14-A king manhole; constructing a new polymer concrete king manhole with force-main connections; replacing or upsizing associated sanitary sewer connections; removing an existing manhole and abandoned pipe; rehabilitating existing manholes; and installing related pipe, fittings, valves, air-release equipment, manhole liners, bypass pumping, erosion and sediment controls, maintenance of traffic, pavement and sidewalk restoration, sodding, striping, record drawings, and other incidental work. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, permits, testing, site restoration, and construction services. The project has a 180-calendar-day completion schedule, requires a mandatory information conference and site inspection, and requires a 5% bid bond with payment and performance bonds required from the successful bidder. The bid package includes technical specifications, plans and drawings, bid forms, qualification requirements, and required certifications and affidavits.
