Description
San Mateo County is soliciting certified fire inspection professionals or firms, including Fire Plan Examiners and Fire Inspector I and II personnel, to support the San Mateo County Fire Department. The scope includes fire plan review, permit processing, construction fire inspections, planning and development fire-safety reviews, Fire Marshal technical advisory services, Deputy Fire Marshal technical support, and specialized fire protection engineering and code consulting. The County may select multiple contractors to support timely inspections, project delivery, surge workload demands, and complex projects. Field inspections will be directed by San Mateo County Fire, and inspection results must be submitted within two days of each inspection. Proposals must address qualifications, minimum experience, project approach, schedule, innovations, performance measures, firm and team qualifications, references, and separate inspection, consulting, and fire plan review fees. The agreement term is two years, with one County option to extend for up to one additional year.
