Description
The Town seeks a qualified fireworks vendor to provide a turnkey close-proximity display lasting at least 18–20 minutes, with an opening display, main display, and grand finale. The vendor must provide fireworks, equipment, labor, transportation, setup, cleanup, supervision, permits, and a certified pyrotechnician on site during setup and performance. The proposal must include a total firm price, documented experience and skill levels for assigned personnel, and references for at least three similar displays, including contact details for people familiar with the work. The vendor must provide applicable Virginia fireworks permits and evidence of the responsible pyrotechnician’s current certification. Before the display, the vendor must submit a rooftop safety plan for approval, covering firing and spectator locations, separation distances, fallout areas, device details, roof protection and anchoring, weather limits, misfire procedures, and required inspections. The contract term is one year, with two optional one-year renewals. Insurance coverage is required, including commercial general liability, excess or umbrella, automobile, workers’ compensation and employers’ liability, and coverage expressly encompassing the fireworks operations.
