Description
The Virginia Department of Transportation is soliciting bids from prequalified contractors for sidewalk construction on Route 6 in Henrico County, from approximately 0.259 miles west of Horsepen Road to 0.012 miles west of Horsepen Road. The work includes clearing and excavation; embankment, erosion, and sediment controls; aggregate base and asphalt paving; curb and gutter; detectable warning surfaces; concrete sidewalk; pavement demolition and planing; water and sanitary utility work; drainage structure adjustments; seeding and erosion-control products; signs and pavement markings; and maintenance of traffic. The project requires electronic submission through BidX. A five-percent bid bond is required, and the bidder must submit Form C-48, Subcontractor/Supplier Solicitation and Utilization, and Vendor Survey, with the bid. The solicitation also incorporates federal-aid construction requirements, prevailing-wage and Davis-Bacon provisions, domestic-material requirements, DBE provisions with a stated 0% DBE goal, and a completion date of July 1, 2027.
