Chesterfield County is soliciting proposals for a broker to provide comprehensive property and casualty insurance brokerage and risk management consulting services for the County, public schools, and designated affiliated entities. The scope includes analyzing insurance markets and risk-financing alternatives; obtaining and negotiating coverage; procuring policies and bonds; reviewing policies, contracts, and invoices; providing binders, policies, certificates, and endorsements; and advising on coverage, policy interpretation, claims, contractual risk, and market conditions. The contractor must also provide claims administration assistance and an annual claims audit, maintain premium and loss-history data, support loss-control and environmental, health, and safety activities, conduct inspections and audits, provide industrial hygiene and safety consulting, respond to emergency situations, accompany insurer site inspections, and deliver OSHA and other safety training. The proposal must address the requested services, qualifications and capacity, key personnel, at least four similar references, pricing, and the required County forms and attachments. The initial contract term is 12 months, with four successive one-year renewal options.
