Description
Brunswick County is soliciting proposals for processing and transportation services for white goods, scrap metal, automotive, marine, and golf cart batteries, and propane tanks collected at its landfill facility. The selected contractor must provide at least two 50-cubic-yard open-top roll-off containers, equipment, materials, labor, and processing services; recover or recycle refrigerants, compressors, capacitors, and oil from applicable white goods; and transport processed materials to scrap metal dealers. The contractor may perform processing at the landfill or at an alternative facility, while County landfill employees will perform loading and transportation of processed and unprocessed units using County equipment. The contractor must maintain records, submit monthly and final reports, provide scrap dealer receipts and revenue information, document CFC and HCFC recovery or recycling, and pay the County within 30 days. The proposal must include a signed cover letter, company and representative information, key personnel and subcontractor qualifications, a detailed Form of Proposal, service and recycling plans, company history, at least three recent similar-project references with contact information, and a Certificate of Insurance. The anticipated contract term is one year with two automatic one-year renewal options.
