Description
New Hanover County Schools is conducting an information-gathering RFI to identify vendors capable of supplying professionally refurbished, business-class laptops for grades 3–12. Requested information covers Windows 11-capable configurations, processor, memory, storage, display, wireless, security, battery-health, physical-condition, and lifecycle requirements; refurbishment sourcing and testing; data sanitization; removal of prior management locks; and quality-assurance practices. Vendors should also describe optional deployment and support services, including imaging preparation, BIOS and firmware updates, asset tagging, serialized manifests, Microsoft Intune enrollment readiness, kitting, delivery, depot repair, advance replacement, spare pools, warranties, accidental-damage coverage, sustainability practices, and end-of-life services. Responses must include the vendor response template, technical compliance matrix, non-binding pricing and service-level information, at least three similar K-12 or public-sector references, and any exceptions, assumptions, substitutions, risks, and recommendations. This RFI is for planning and market research only and does not constitute a competitive bid, offer, contract, or commitment to purchase.
