Description
Lancaster County is soliciting a contractor for the repair of County Bridge Q-080, Project 27-50, on Old Cheney Road approximately 1,500 feet west of South 138th Street. Work includes mobilization; Class I, Class II, and Class III concrete repairs; placement, finishing, and curing of a two-inch concrete bridge-deck overlay; concrete for the overlay; barricades; construction signs; traffic control; labor; materials; equipment; and related incidentals required by the plans and specifications. The project is a 25-working-day construction project, with work commencing on or after April 1, 2027, after issuance of a notice to proceed. Bidders must establish responsibility through Nebraska Department of Transportation prequalification, qualifying prior Lancaster County work, or a similar-work resume with positive references, and all bidders must demonstrate experience with concrete bridge-deck overlays. A five-percent bid bond or certified check is required, with the original delivered within three days after bid closing; performance and payment bonds, each for 100 percent of the contract amount, are required upon award. The bid must be submitted through the electronic bid system and include the completed project schedule, itemized spreadsheet, and Foreign Adversary Contracting Prohibition Act certification. Solicitation documents are hosted on an external electronic bidding service and require registration to download.
