Description
The City of Chino is soliciting a contractor to remove and legally dispose of vegetation, sediment, and debris from approximately 2,000 linear feet of Magnolia Channel, including two box culverts and additional sediment accumulation areas. The work includes mechanical culvert cleaning, dust control, hauling to an approved disposal facility, traffic control, permits, and furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment. Hydro-vacuum equipment is prohibited, and service must begin within 15 working days after notice to proceed. The work may be scheduled up to three times per contract year. As additive bid items, the City may also award weed abatement at two Euclid Avenue locations: the Euclid Avenue Bridge and the Euclid Avenue storm drain channel. Vegetation must be removed mechanically, cut to ground level, disposed of off-site, and the sites left neat; herbicides are prohibited at the bridge location. The initial contract term is five years, with up to two additional one-year renewal options. Proposals require a technical approach and experience materials, three similar-service references from the last four years, key personnel information, a sample work product, a completed conflict-of-interest and insurance acknowledgment form, and a separate fee proposal.
