Description
Yankton County is soliciting sealed bids for a contractor to furnish all labor, tools, and equipment necessary to crush and stockpile up to 60,000 tons of 3/4-inch surfacing gravel. The work will occur at a specified gravel site and must meet the stated South Dakota highway material specifications, including gradation and quality requirements. The contractor must provide certified belt-scale weighing, daily scale-accuracy verification, independent material testing at the required intervals, site stripping, leveling and reclamation, pit-use compliance, and construction of a 16-foot-wide haul road with three inches of gravel to the nearest county road. Work must be completed by June 1, 2027. Payment will be based on the actual accepted tonnage, with no payment for material exceeding 60,000 tons unless authorized by the Highway Superintendent.
