Description
El Dorado County, on behalf of the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, seeks qualified providers to perform as-needed removal and transportation services for decedents located within the county and, when requested, outside the county's jurisdiction. Providers must furnish the personnel, vehicles, equipment, and related materials necessary to perform the work, including secure removal, transportation, chain-of-custody procedures, transfer protocols, and compliance with applicable requirements for handling human remains. Respondents must complete the required response and certification form, questionnaire and key qualifications document, and references document; provide an active California Funeral Establishment and/or Crematory license; submit at least three related references; and provide a fee schedule covering positions and rates for standard hours, after-hours, weekends, county-recognized holidays, and emergency services. The resulting qualified list may remain valid for up to three years, with no guaranteed minimum or maximum work. Electronic submissions must be made through the county's bidding system, while hard-copy submissions require one original and one electronic PDF copy on a USB drive, with the fee schedule separately sealed.
