Description
Chatham Area Transit Authority is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to replace rooftop air-conditioning units at its central facility under a six-month contract. The work includes furnishing and installing new rooftop units, curb adapters, duct transitions and related ductwork, refrigerant piping, controls, thermostats, and a new building management system. Existing duct-mounted sensors and control devices must be connected to the replacement equipment, and existing ductwork is generally to remain. The contractor must perform associated electrical work, including branch-circuit modifications, disconnects, raceway repairs or replacements, equipment connections, permits, testing, balancing, commissioning support, and as-built documentation. The scope includes site verification, manufacturer submittals, operation and maintenance materials, a one-year warranty, applicable federal transit requirements, Buy America certification, DBE-related requirements, and federal-clause documentation. Proposals are evaluated on technical capacity, maintenance and operations, experience and references, and price.
