Description
Santa Cruz County seeks a contractor to provide security guard services across multiple County facilities and as-needed locations. The scope includes scheduled foot patrols and posted guards, vehicle patrols, on-call escorts, security for administrative hearings and disposal sites, courthouse screening, emergency deployments, and armed guards for specified assignments. Services include staffing, uniforms, communications equipment, dispatch coverage, training, supervision, reporting, and the required patrol vehicles and equipment. Some assignments require Spanish-speaking guards, rapid emergency response, and guards with specified licenses, permits, and certifications. Proposers must provide a work plan, staffing and training information, communications procedures, vehicle details, sample invoices and monthly reports, security service license information, resumes, audited financial statements, customer references, and the required County forms. The contract is intended to run through June 30, 2028, with three one-year extensions. The County evaluates experience, staffing, organizational stability, references, cost, and local business status; local businesses may receive preference points.
