Description
The Pasadena Area Community College District is seeking one new, current-production visible/near-infrared lens measurement and optical metrology system for its Laser Technology Program. The system must support infinite-conjugate testing of lenses with at least a 50 mm clear aperture; on- and off-axis modulation transfer function measurement; effective, back, or flange focal length measurement; measurements of f-number, distortion, field curvature, astigmatism, chief ray angle, and image-quality metrics; 400–1000 nm spectral coverage; at least ±70 degrees of off-axis capability; and specified accuracy, repeatability, and traceability requirements. The supplier must provide a complete operating system, including illumination, targets and filters, collimation, positioning equipment, detector and imaging optics, lens mounts, alignment tools, workstation with two monitors, software, licenses, cables, accessories, and a calibration or performance-verification reference. The scope also includes delivery, installation, configuration, calibration or verification, acceptance testing, at least one full on-site service day with four hours of hands-on training, electronic documentation, a minimum one-year warranty, and technical support. The quotation must include a completed price schedule and technical compliance matrix, manufacturer and model information, technical literature and evidence of compliance, itemized pricing and recurring costs, delivery and training plans, warranty and support information, software and accessibility details, at least three comparable-system references when available, and a consolidated exceptions list. Optional capabilities such as extended off-axis measurement, motorized lens rotation, chromatic aberration, transmission, relative illumination, finite-conjugate measurement, maintenance, and extended warranty services must be priced separately.
