Description
The City of Oskaloosa is soliciting construction bids for a new Southwest Water Resource Recovery Facility. The project will replace the existing activated-sludge wastewater treatment facility with a higher-capacity facility incorporating biological nutrient removal, headworks screening and grit removal, oxidation ditches, final clarifiers, ultraviolet disinfection, aerobic digesters, biosolids dewatering and storage, administrative and garage facilities, hauled-waste receiving, a debris pad, electrical power, a standby generator, site improvements, SCADA, and security systems. The work also includes minor architectural, structural, HVAC, and electrical improvements at the Northeast Wastewater Treatment Facility. Substantial completion is required by October 31, 2029, with final completion by January 31, 2030. The successful bidder must comply with applicable Davis-Bacon wage requirements, American Iron and Steel requirements, and disadvantaged-business-enterprise utilization requirements.
