Description
The City of Oxnard is soliciting a lump-sum construction contractor for the Well 20 Rehabilitation Project Phase II. The work includes furnishing and installing a vertical turbine deep-well centrifugal pump compatible with the City's existing 300-horsepower motor and variable-frequency drive; replacing pump column piping and aboveground 4-, 6-, and 12-inch steel piping; installing or replacing valves, pipe supports, a pre-lubrication system, a splash guard, and related mechanical equipment; and removing, storing, and reinstalling the existing magnetic flowmeter and pump control valve. The electrical and instrumentation scope includes replacing pump motor power cables, ancillary equipment, junction boxes, conduits, wiring, a pre-lube flow switch, motor terminal box, pressure-level transmitter, and solenoid valve; performing pre-work and post-work wiring tests, NETA testing, transmitter calibration, commissioning, disinfection, and functional testing. The project is subject to California prevailing-wage and Department of Industrial Relations requirements. Bidders must hold a valid Class A California contractor's license, and the prime contractor must self-perform at least 50 percent of the Contract Price, excluding designated specialty items. The contract duration is 325 Working Days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
