Description
Lexington County is soliciting a single-prime contractor to perform select roof replacement and repairs at the Lexington County Judicial Center. The work includes removal of existing roofing; installation of a fully adhered 60-mil PVC/KEE roofing membrane, insulation, flashings, accessories, and walkways; repairs to the existing standing-seam metal roof and batten covers; sheet-metal flashing and trim; steel deck rehabilitation or replacement; steel plate installation; wood nailer replacement; and replacement or reconnection of affected rooftop mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lightning-protection components. The facility will remain occupied during construction, requiring protection of occupants and the building, daily watertight conditions, controlled staging and storage, scaffolding, demolition and waste disposal, quality-control documentation, and coordination with the owner. The bid includes a $10,000 contingency allowance and specified unit-price allowances for deck rehabilitation, deck replacement, steel plate installation, wood nailer replacement, and batten-cover replacement. The contractor must provide a five-year proposal bond and, for contracts of $50,000 or more, performance and payment bonds at 100% of the contract amount as applicable. The bid form states a 90-calendar-day completion period after the notice to proceed.
