Description
The Joint Municipal Water and Sewer Commission is soliciting bids for a design-bid-build water infrastructure project with base and alternate bid options. The base bid includes approximately 28,500 linear feet of 36-inch ductile iron water main, 2,500 linear feet of 42-inch HDPE water main installed by bore, 5,250 linear feet of 24-inch ductile iron water main, and improvements to the existing Calks Ferry Tank site. The alternate bid includes approximately 33,750 linear feet of 36-inch ductile iron water main, 2,500 linear feet of 42-inch HDPE water main by bore, and Calks Ferry Tank site improvements. The project is funded through the State Revolving Fund and includes Davis-Bacon, Build America, Buy America, and disadvantaged business enterprise participation requirements. A bid bond of at least 5% is required. Plans and specifications are available electronically from the engineer; no physical plans or specifications will be provided. A nonmandatory pre-bid meeting will be held in person and virtually, and questions must be submitted electronically to the engineer by the stated deadline.
