Description
Carson City is soliciting sealed bids for the Community Center Re-Roof project, a vertical construction project involving approximately 46,700 square feet of upper and lower roof areas. The work includes cleaning and preparing existing roof systems; removing membrane flashing and, in designated areas, existing roofing down to the wood deck; installing coverboard, polyisocyanurate insulation, 80-mil SBS modified bitumen base sheet, 145-mil fire-resistant mineral cap sheet, and acrylic and urethane coatings; and replacing or installing flashing, coping, edge metal, pitch pans, pipe boots, skylights, scuppers, drains, curbs, and related roof components. Contingent bid items include replacement of dry-rotted decking, wood nailers, and wet or damaged insulation. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals; coordinate manufacturer inspections at least three days per week; provide a single-source roof assembly warranty, including a 40-year no-dollar-limit manufacturer warranty and a five-year installer warranty; and complete required construction schedules, safety documentation, product submittals, design-pressure calculations, samples, certifications, and closeout materials. The project is federally funded through Community Development Block Grant funds and is subject to Davis-Bacon and Nevada prevailing-wage requirements, Build America, Buy America Act requirements, Section 3 provisions, certified payroll, and other federal construction clauses. A Nevada C-15 or C-15a contractor license is required, and the prime contractor must perform at least 50% of the bid amount.
