Description
The City of Omaha is soliciting bids for the complete demolition and removal of a condemned one-story commercial structure at 3810 and 3812 Farnam Street. The work includes removal of the structure, foundations, specified concrete and crushed-rock driveways, trash, rubbish, debris, and nearby small trees; disposal of waste; backfilling with clean fill dirt; grading; and seeding the site with perennial rye grass. The contractor must comply with applicable demolition, utility disconnection, sewer capping, safety, dust-control, hazardous-material, and asbestos requirements, including required notifications, inspections, permits, and disposal procedures. This is an all-or-none solicitation covering all sites, with award based on the total bid amount. A 5% bid bond or acceptable substitute is required when the total bid is $50,000 or more; letters of credit are not acceptable. The surety must be licensed by Nebraska and listed in Circular 570. A copy of the bid security must be uploaded electronically, and the original must be received by the City Clerk within seven calendar days after closing. Bid questions must be submitted through the event's Questions tab and will be answered by October 5, 2026.
