Description
The City of San Diego is soliciting a contractor to provide complete facilities management, administrative support, and maintenance services for a two-floor, approximately 73,970-square-foot Class B office building. Services include onsite staffing during specified business hours; facility condition monitoring and planning; hearing-room and event support; maintenance of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, generator, safety, door-access, drywall, painting, carpentry, and flooring systems; preventive maintenance; and 24/7 emergency response. Emergency supervisors or managers must respond within 15 minutes of a City emergency call, and at least one staff member must be onsite during service hours. The contractor must provide trained personnel, background checks and identification badges for assigned staff, subcontractor coordination, applicable licenses and DIR registration, and a facility management plan. The proposal must include the City price schedule, required forms, qualifications and experience information, staffing and project-management information, past-performance references, and responses addressing the facility management approach. The contract is subject to living-wage and prevailing-wage requirements, and the City requires specified insurance coverage and may require a payment and performance bond before execution.
