Description
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada requires a general contractor to remove the existing south process cooling tower and supply and install a new forced-draft, two-cell cooling tower at the London Research and Development Centre. The specified equipment is an Evapco LSTA 10-181 (670), or approved equivalent, with stainless-steel basin, two fan cells, basin heaters, electronic water-level controls, drift eliminators, spare components, and associated condenser-water, make-up-water, drainage, chemical-treatment, and winterization connections. The work also includes temporary removal and reinstatement of the access ladder, catwalk, pipe supports, and safety railing. The scope includes electrical demolition and installation, reuse and modification of existing feeders and conduits, new weatherproof control and VFD cabinets, motor controls, receptacles, safety disconnects, BAS controls, low-voltage wiring, and integration with existing Trane chillers and Metasys controls. Contractors must provide shop drawings, testing, commissioning, as-built drawings, operation and maintenance documentation, training, seismic restraint design and compliance reports, and required subcontractor and supplier listings. The work must be completed by March 31, 2027, and the estimated contract period is five months.
