Description
The City of Erie is seeking qualified consulting firms with experience in green infrastructure, architecture, engineering, and sustainable building design to develop a comprehensive green roof feasibility study, design, and implementation plan for the City of Erie Municipal Building. The work includes existing-condition and structural assessments; evaluation of intensive, extensive, modular, and built-up roof systems; energy, stormwater, environmental, and life-cycle cost analyses; renewable-energy considerations; plant recommendations; implementation alternatives; permitting and historical-integrity considerations; construction-ready conceptual drawings; technical specifications; and an opinion of probable construction cost. The consultant must also assess and conceptually redesign the City Hall lobby, including accessibility, circulation, wayfinding, lighting, acoustics, furniture, materials, security, public art, biophilic elements, and connections between the lobby and the green roof. Required deliverables include feasibility and benefit analyses, historical-integrity analysis, cost estimates, conceptual and buildable drawings, a final implementation report, and electronic files in PDF plus editable CAD or Revit formats where applicable. Proposals must include respondent certification and tax certification forms, a cover letter, firm qualifications, at least three references, project-team information, project approach, schedule, and a detailed fee proposal. The total contract amount may not exceed $50,000, and project completion is required within 120 days after notice to proceed.
