Description
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Corrections requires a direct replacement of the boiler water condensate tank at SCI Cambridge Springs. The contractor must prepare the existing and replacement tanks for shutdown; disconnect, reinstall, or modify associated piping, valves, controls, electrical connections, steam traps, and fittings; transport the old tank to the loading dock; install and insulate disturbed piping; and complete the work within a maximum two-day shutdown. The institution will dispose of the old tank and requires the new tank to be transported to the Building 6 loading dock. The contractor must provide a one-year material and labor warranty, perform preventative maintenance, identify defective parts requiring replacement, comply with prevailing-wage and Department of Corrections requirements, and provide required insurance and security clearances. Bids are submitted electronically through the Pennsylvania Supplier Portal. Quantities are estimated and may vary, and award may be made by item or on a total-bid basis.
