Description
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Corrections is seeking a full-time dental laboratory technician instructor for Pennsylvania Correctional Industries at SCI Cambridge Springs. The instructor will provide onsite services Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., excluding Commonwealth holidays, with no telework offered. Responsibilities include dental laboratory technician work, particularly removable prosthetics; use and knowledge of dental materials, equipment, and fabrication processes; and teaching, coaching, and evaluating learners with varied skill levels in a correctional environment. The selected contractor must satisfy the position requirements, complete required Department of Corrections training and security procedures, and ensure personnel pass background investigations and obtain necessary approvals. Subcontracting or performance by another individual requires prior approval. Bidders must submit at least three references, the instructor's resume, a signed Worker Protection and Investment Certification form, and, if applicable, the instructor's certified dental technician certifications. The contract is for one year with four one-year renewal options, and payment is based on actual hours worked.
