The City of Union is requesting bids for snow and ice removal services. The contract covers plowing of 25.33 miles of city streets, the Union City Building, and Union Rice Cemetery, with pricing per push based on snow depth categories (3/4"-3", 3.1-6", >6"). Additionally, the contractor must supply deicing materials: salt at $265/ton, sand at $190/ton, calcium chloride at $0.95/lb (by request), and ice melt at $0.25/lb (by request). The initial contract term is not specified, but a possible two-year renewal option from November 1, 2020 through April 2022 is included.
