Description
Boone County is soliciting a contractor to stabilize and restore roadway and embankment failures at three sections of Ryle Road, Big Bone Church Road, Market Street in Petersburg, Sunnybrook Drive, and Sturgeon Road. The work includes removal of failed or unstable materials; excavation and placement and compaction of structural fill; slope regrading, reinforcement, retaining systems, and other stabilization measures; drainage improvements; erosion and sediment control; pavement, shoulder, ditch, and slope restoration; maintenance of traffic and safe access; mobilization and demobilization; and related incidental work. The contractor must inspect each location, submit proposed stabilization methods and work sequencing for County approval, provide geotechnical recommendations or stamped plans when necessary, perform required testing and inspections, maintain traffic control, provide as-built documentation, and furnish a minimum five-year warranty. The pricing proposal includes 1,500 linear feet of guardrail, including posts, end treatments, hardware, grading, and incidental work, in accordance with the attached Kentucky Transportation Cabinet material specifications.
