Description
The City of Pismo Beach is soliciting bids for construction to remove and dispose of the existing floating cover; clean and repair the reservoir's concrete surfaces and construction joints; replace the existing 12-inch fill pipe and fittings with C900 PVC; install a conductive geotextile underlayment, a 40-mil black geomembrane liner, and a 45-mil CSPE floating cover; perform electrical leak-location testing; and disinfect and commission the reservoir for return to potable-water service. The floating-cover work includes access hatches, rainwater collection and pumping components, appurtenances, field testing, and related electrical connections. Bidders must hold a California Class A General Engineering Contractor's License. The work requires a 10% bid bond, and the successful contractor must provide 100% performance and labor-and-material bonds plus a 10% maintenance bond. The bid package requires electronic completion of the proposal and bid forms, bid schedule, bid security, non-discrimination certification, licensing statement, subcontractor list, bidder information list, non-collusion affidavit, and contractor performance certification. The project includes prevailing-wage, Department of Industrial Relations registration, insurance, testing, warranty, and one-year maintenance obligations.
