Description
Mason County Public Utility District No. 1 is soliciting sealed proposals from contractors prequalified to perform electrical-system work for the Eldon to Duckabush Reconductor Project. The work includes replacing aged and undersized poles, installing a specified number of new poles, and upgrading the overhead conductor along an existing approximately five-mile line on U.S. Highway 101. The specified conductors are 336 ACSR-Merlin for the phase conductors and bare 4/0 ACSR-Penguin for the neutral. Bidders must employ qualified journeyman-level line workers and corresponding crew members. Only contractors prequalified by the District may submit proposals; prequalification applications are due by October 16, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. A mandatory pre-bid job show is scheduled for October 6, 2026. Small, minority-owned, and women-owned firms are strongly encouraged to apply.
