Description
LOTT Clean Water Alliance is soliciting construction bids for refurbishment of the Budd Inlet Treatment Plant mixed liquor channel. The work includes replacing eight existing weir gates and electric actuators in the mixed liquor distribution box, installing a new slide gate, removing existing gates, repairing deteriorated concrete and a channel leak, extending channel aeration air piping, and installing a walkable cover, grating, handrails, and related structural components. The contractor must also provide temporary bypass pumping and bulkhead systems, coordinate limited plant shutdowns while maintaining treatment operations, perform electrical and process-piping work, complete testing and commissioning, and prepare operation and maintenance manuals and as-built redlines. The engineer's estimate is $1,655,000 to $2,115,000 including sales tax. The contract requires 200 working days for substantial completion, a 15% apprentice utilization requirement, a minimum 10% contractor self-performance requirement, and performance and payment bonds each equal to 100% of the contract amount.
