Description
Providence Water is soliciting proposals for comprehensive trash and recycling collection services at two locations: the Providence Facility (125 Dupont Drive, Providence, RI) and the Hope Facility (61 North Road, Hope, RI). The contract will have a two-year term, commencing on July 1, 2026, and concluding on June 30, 2028. The scope of work includes providing and maintaining all necessary containers, ensuring site cleanliness, and adhering to strict recycling protocols, including the use of separate trucks for recycling and a prohibition against co-mingling waste. The vendor must also demonstrate the ability to provide emergency backup equipment and proper disposal/recycling verification. Bidders are required to have at least three years of experience with similar multi-site waste and recycling services for municipal or utility clients within the last five years, providing contact information for professional references. Specific service requirements include one 10-yard trash container emptied twice weekly at the Providence Facility and once weekly at the Hope Facility. Cardboard collection is required once weekly at both locations using a 10-yard container. Paper and universal waste collection will be on-request using curbside-type containers, and electronic waste pickup is available at the Providence Facility upon request.
