Description
Middletown Public Schools is soliciting bids for a comprehensive furniture, fixtures, and equipment package for Valley Elementary School. The scope includes furnishing new classroom, special education, art, music, cafeteria, science, learning commons, storage, seating, tables, desks, cabinets, and related equipment, along with delivery, uncrating, distribution, assembly, installation, supervision, coordination, and removal of packaging. Bidders must provide signed bid forms, category summary sheets, item quantity and pricing sheets, company and subcontractor information, a long-lead-time list, required compliance forms, product specifications and supporting information for proposed equals or deviations, and at least three completed comparable-project references. Delivery is anticipated to begin August 2, 2027, with installation completed by August 20, 2027. The solicitation requires a 5% bid security and specifies insurance coverage, prevailing-wage requirements for permanently secured installation labor, and Rhode Island MBE participation requirements.
