Description

IDEA Greater Cincinnati, Inc. is requesting proposals for a unified, cloud-native Firewall as a Service solution supporting 1,420 instructional licenses. The solution must include licensing, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and support; align with the principles and basic tenets of NIST Special Publication 800-207 Zero Trust Architecture or an equivalent industry-recognized framework; and provide the functionality specified in the solicitation. Equivalent solutions are permitted if they meet or exceed the stated requirements. Content filtering and the generative-AI risk module must be separately identified as E-Rate-ineligible add-ons. The initial contract term is three years, with up to two additional one-year renewal options. Service is planned to begin on or about July 1, 2027. Respondents must provide firm pricing, separately identify E-Rate-eligible and ineligible costs, provide manufacturer or equivalent product information, complete the pricing workbook, and agree to applicable E-Rate requirements. The pricing workbook covers the 1,420 three-year FWaaS licenses, content-filtering add-ons, generative-AI risk modules, and optional renewal-year pricing.
