Description
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada is soliciting construction services to retrofit an insectary at its London Research and Development Centre. The scope includes supplying, installing, and commissioning HVAC equipment, horticultural LED lighting, lighting-control systems, electrical distribution and controls, refrigeration equipment, plumbing modifications, compressed-air and vacuum connections, and associated equipment. The work includes removal of existing fluorescent lighting, GrowWise controls, cooling equipment, piping, and selected plumbing components; installation of new Philips GreenPower/GrowWise horticultural lighting and controls; integration with the existing Argus environmental-control system; and installation of a new water-cooled condensing unit and indoor evaporator system. The contractor must provide commissioning, testing, training, shop drawings, subcontractor and supplier listings, as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and required closeout documentation. The solicitation requires a valid Reliability Status security clearance for the contractor and personnel requiring access to the controlled worksite. The work must be completed by 2027-03-31, and the contract is estimated at four months with a proposed start date of 2026-11-23.
