Description
The University of Mississippi Medical Center intends to purchase a Bertec FIT5 Dual-Belt Fully Instrumented Treadmill with incline from Bertec as a sole-source provider. The system must provide independently controlled split belts, six-component force measurement under each belt, data acquisition at up to 1,000 Hz, forward and reverse walking, motorized incline capability, safety infrastructure, and compatibility with existing and planned biomechanics research and motion-capture systems. The equipment will support research and education programs involving postural stability, gait, fall prevention, aging, rehabilitation, human performance, and injury prevention. The estimated purchase amount for the treadmill system and associated components is $232,312.49. Interested parties may object to the sole-source certification by submitting the required vendor form and objection certification before the stated deadline.
