Description
The Mississippi Department of Education is soliciting a single contractor to provide five years of preventive maintenance, parts replacement, repair services, and guaranteed four-hour onsite emergency response for an existing Liebert NPOWER 65-80 80 kVA UPS and a Liebert one-ton split-system HVAC unit. The HVAC system includes an indoor Liebert unit and a rooftop condenser. UPS services include one major onsite preventive-maintenance visit annually, 100% labor and travel coverage, parts coverage, and inspection of one battery string containing 40 jars. HVAC services include four annual onsite preventive-maintenance visits—one major and three minor—with 100% labor and travel coverage and parts coverage. The amendment confirms that bids must include both UPS and HVAC maintenance, that major components, batteries, compressors, refrigerant, and pre-existing deficiencies are excluded from parts coverage and may be quoted separately, and that the equipment is approximately 20 years old. Bidders must have at least five years of similar experience and submit at least three comparable references performed within the past two years, including customer contact information. The awarded vendor must provide a performance bond equal to 100% of the awarded annual contract amount within ten days of contract execution and before services begin, with a new bond required annually for a multi-year award. Subcontracting or assignment requires prior written approval.
