Description
The County of Ventura Public Works Agency is soliciting construction bids to reconstruct a portion of the Fraser Street low-water crossing in the Oak View area. The work includes traffic control and construction signing, water-pollution control, water diversion, demolition and offhaul, dewatering, placement of 6-inch-minus washed aggregate, drilled and bonded dowels, a 4,000-psi reinforced-concrete crossing, and Class VII riprap backfill. The estimated construction cost is $145,000. Bidders must hold a Class A California contractor's license, and the contractor and subcontractors must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations. The work has a 15-working-day completion period, requires prevailing-wage compliance, and includes performance and payment bonds at 100% of the contract price after award. A bid guarantee of at least 10% is required, with the original bid bond submitted separately by mail or delivery before bid closure.
