Description

Solano County is soliciting a multi-prime construction bid for painting and coating work supporting its Justice Campus Asset Protection Project. The scope includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, scaffolding, surface preparation, application, protection, containment, cleanup, and related services for interior and exterior exposed surfaces above and below grade. Specified work includes coating structural steel, tanks, pipes, valves, pumps, equipment, handrails, guardrails, bollards, galvanized and mill-coated steel, concrete, masonry, manhole covers, wet wells, lift-station surfaces, and other designated items. Coating systems include epoxy, urethane, zinc-rich primer, coal-tar epoxy, vinyl ester, acrylic, silane/siloxane sealers, concrete stain, and related systems, with surface preparation requirements such as solvent cleaning, power-tool cleaning, and SSPC blast-cleaning standards. The contractor must provide coating schedules, product data, color cards, required certifications, experienced painters, containment and environmental controls, inspection support, touch-up materials, and hazardous-material disposal documentation. The bid package requires a current California A, B, or C-33 contractor license, prevailing-wage compliance, and California Department of Industrial Relations registration.
