Description
The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified consultant to conduct a pre-design planning study and preliminary engineering for a continuous active transportation route along the Grand Canal between 47th Avenue and 23rd Avenue. The work will produce 15% design plans for the preferred concept and a Project Assessment Report. The scope includes developing concepts for a 12-foot-or-greater multi-use path, pedestrian bridges, connections to bike lanes and neighborhoods, and safe, accessible, potentially grade-separated crossings at Interstate 17 and US-60/BNSF Railway. Services also include stakeholder and agency coordination, environmental documentation and NEPA-related processes, public involvement, community meetings and walks, and exploration of nature-based landscaping, drinking fountains, shade, seating, and local art. The submission is a qualifications-based Statement of Qualifications limited to 14 pages, excluding specified cover and information-sheet pages.
