Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) Western Laboratory requires on-site ISO 17025 calibration services for laboratory equipment. This includes centrifuges, balances, microscopes, shakers, and can seam micrometers. Reference thermometers will require off-site calibration, with the vendor responsible for pickup and drop-off. All calibration services must adhere to ISO/IEC 17025 standards. Reference and working standards used must be certified and traceable to the International System of Units. The vendor will be responsible for adjusting instruments if found out of tolerance and providing documentation certifying equipment performance and calibration. This documentation must include details on standards used, environmental conditions, work performed, technician name, and whether the instrument is within tolerance. Additionally, each serviced piece of equipment will receive a label indicating the technician, service date, next service date, model number, and serial number. The contract will be a firm-fixed-price maintenance agreement with one 12-month base period and two 12-month option periods, for a total potential duration of 36 months. Award will be made to the lowest price technically acceptable offeror.
