Description
Alameda County is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to establish a pool of up to three qualified bidders to provide Ford parts and services for the General Services Agency-Motor Vehicle Department (GSA-MVD). The contract will be for an initial three-year term with the option to renew for two additional years. Bidders must be manufacturers or fully authorized dealers/distributors of genuine Ford OEM parts and services, and must have been actively engaged in this business for at least five years. The awarded contractors will supply Ford parts and perform maintenance, diagnostic, and repair services for the County's Ford vehicle fleet, aiming to minimize vehicle downtime and ensure cost-effective operations. Services will be required at three County locations: 165 13th Street, Oakland, CA (Primary Location); 10 Moran Court, Hayward, CA; and 6175 Madigan Road, Dublin, CA. Contractors will be expected to provide timely access to genuine Ford OEM parts, including re-manufactured parts when new ones are unavailable. They must also provide environmentally responsible recycling and disposal services for automotive waste at no cost to the County. The contract requires contractors to employ ASE Certified Parts Specialists and maintain a full-line inventory of current Ford vehicle parts. All work must comply with manufacturer recommendations, industry best practices, and applicable regulations. Contractors must also provide detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as a monthly reconciliation of core charges and credits.
