Description
The Habersham County Board of Education is seeking quotes from qualified contractors for the replacement of two HVAC systems at Fairview Elementary School, located at 2925 Cannon Bridge Road, Demorest, GA 30535. The scope of work includes replacing two existing HVAC systems in the cafeteria area, specifically a 20-ton air conditioning unit with an air handler, coil, and condensing unit, along with a natural gas heating unit. This will involve replacing lined ductwork to meet new equipment specifications, replacing refrigerant lines, and tying into existing natural gas lines and the existing control system. The refrigerant specified is R454B. The project also requires the inclusion of all necessary materials, labor, equipment, crane, and lift services. The proposed timeline for work to begin is as early as 4 p.m. on Friday, October 9th, with the heating system to be operational by Saturday, October 17th at 4:00 p.m., in preparation for students' return on Monday, October 19th. Contractors must have been in business for a minimum of 2 years and provide proof of insurance with limits of $1,000,000 for bodily injury and $2,000,000 for property damage. A current W-9, valid Georgia business license, and three references (two business, one personal) are also required. The successful proposer will need to submit an affidavit verifying compliance with E-Verify.
