Description
DeKalb County School District (DCSD) is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide comprehensive electronic recycling and disposal services. The district estimates accumulating approximately 60 pallets of electronic waste per month across its 135+ facilities. Services will include the collection, transportation, secure data wiping (following DoD standards), and environmentally responsible disposal of various electronic equipment, including computers, displays, office electronics, and peripherals. Vendors must be certified under e-Stewards or R2 programs and adhere to EPA guidelines. This is a zero-cost project for the District, meaning vendors must propose a payment structure offering financial compensation to DCSD based on the value of the recycled equipment. The awarded vendor will be responsible for all costs associated with the services, including labor, materials, transportation, and disposal, with no additional charges to DCSD. Reporting requirements include asset tracking, destruction certificates, and verified weight reports.
