Gwinnett County is seeking competitive sealed bids from qualified service providers for the purchase and installation of industrial washers and dryers for the Sheriff's Office. The bid opening will be virtual, and apparent bid results will be available on the county website the following business day. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for June 25, 2026, at the Gwinnett County Detention Center. Questions regarding bids should be directed to Chelsey Ward by June 26, 2026. Successful suppliers will be required to meet insurance requirements. The bid prices shall include all labor, materials, rigging, permits, utility modifications, startup, testing, and commissioning necessary to provide a complete and fully operational installation. The service provider must remove existing equipment and provide documentation of proper disposal. Delivery of equipment to the Sheriff's Office shall not be more than 90 days after award, and the completion date may be used in determining the award. The new equipment shall be fully functional and ready to use at the conclusion of installation. The bid prices must include all charges, including delivery, proper disposal, and installation. The washer and dryer connections must fit within the current footprint, and any device installed will need to fit with the current configuration. Additional ductwork is expected with the installation of the dryers. The existing equipment in place includes the control panel pictured below. For safety reasons, equipment bids MUST include control panels that function similarly to what is currently in place to keep the training for equipment usage consistent. Gwinnett County shall be the sole determinant if equipment bids meet this requirement.
