Description
The City of Stone Mountain is seeking proposals for independent audit services through a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) process. This contract will cover four consecutive fiscal years, beginning with the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025, and concluding with the fiscal year ended December 31, 2028. The audit must be conducted in accordance with U.S. Auditing Standards and Government Auditing Standards, and must include verification and testing of expenditures of the City's Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax proceeds. The selected auditor will be responsible for preparing and issuing all required independent audit reports, including a report on internal control over financial reporting and compliance, and will deliver twenty printed and bound copies along with one electronic copy of each report. Proposals must include a Mandatory Pre-Qualification Form, a Technical Proposal/Capabilities Statement demonstrating government audit expertise, and a Cost Proposal on the firm's official letterhead or quote form. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and may request additional information or clarification from proposing firms. The award will be made to the proposer determined to have submitted the best proposal, considering both technical factors and cost.
